Abigail S. Duffy

Abigail (Abbey) grew up in Northern California. True to her Southern heritage and roots, she came to Charleston upon graduation from Law School to began her legal career as a State Attorney for the Department of Social Services Office of Child Support Enforcement. There she was the attorney in charge of 2 1/2 Counties (Williamsburg, Georgetown and part of Horry) and found herself in Court a majority of her time there. As the position kept her away from Charleston, she took a position as an attorney helping clients resolve tax problems with the Internal Revenue Service. Abbey, missed her time in Court, and longed to be back litigating matters. She next took a position with the Department of Social Services Abuse and Neglect Legal Department. It was in this position that Abbey was able to handle a enormous volume of sensitive and complex Family Court matters. She had the opportunity to try several multi day trials.

Abbey opened the Duffy Law Firm, LLC in October of 2011, seizing on the opportunity to be her own boss and help all strata of society in all types of Family Court Matters. She is certified to be a Guardian ad Litem and is a Certified Forensic Interviewer of Children.
